LPG / LNG

LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) covers propane, butane and their blends. LPG is a versatile, clean-burning fuel gas derived from oil refining or natural gas processing. It’s commonly used for home heating, cooking and autogas (vehicle fuel), as well as industrial heating and petrochemical feedstocks. (In colder seasons the mix shifts to more propane for better vaporization.) Our JV trades in bulk LPG, delivering by pressurized tanker truck or ship. With LPG supplying about 3% of global energy, we leverage our partner ties to suppliers and shipping to secure competitive LPG stocks for customers.

LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) is methane gas cooled to –162 °C, enabling bulk transport of natural gas by sea. Its primary purpose is to simplify delivery of natural gas from remote fields to markets. LNG is shipped in specialized cryogenic tankers and is regasified at import terminals for power generation, industrial use, or injection into pipeline networks. (It’s increasingly used as fuel for heavy trucks, ships and rail due to lower emissions.) Through established supply projects and partnerships, the JV can arrange large LNG cargoes (via long-term contracts or spot trades) to meet electricity and industrial needs.
